Hughes Koury is a Mergers & Acquisitions executive and Certified Public Accountant with expertise in healthcare practice transitions, negotiations, deal structuring, and platform growth. With a career spanning both buy-side and sell-side advisory for private equity-backed operations, Hughes brings a rare combination of financial sophistication and operational depth that few advisors in the healthcare space can match.

Prior to joining Triumphant, Hughes served as Director of Business Development at one of the nation’s fastest-growing private equity-backed dental platforms, where he sourced, structured, and closed over 50 transactions, resulting in one of the most active acquisition pipelines in the dental DSO space. Before that, Hughes held senior leadership roles at two of the most prominent private equity-backed dental platforms in the country, where he drove operational performance, strategic growth, and value creation across large, multi-site portfolios. He began his career at a Big Four accounting and advisory firm, where he advised on complex healthcare mergers and supported both buy-side and sell-side engagements across the healthcare services sector. Over the course of his career, Hughes has been involved in transactions representing over $500M in total deal value.

Hughes earned his Master of Accountancy and Bachelor of Accountancy from Mississippi State University’s Adkerson School of Accountancy and holds an active CPA license in the state of Tennessee. He brings the analytical rigor of a Big Four background with the deal-making instincts of a seasoned executive — a combination that consistently delivers superior outcomes for the practice owners he represents.
